Thomson ONE Banker for Office Excel Add-in Installation Instructions
Please follow the steps below to install the Thomson ONE Banker for Office Excel Add-in.
IMPORTANT: If you currently have a version of
the Thomson One Banker Add-in, follow the auto
update wizard that appears when you open Excel
to upgrade to the new version.
If you prefer to reinstall manually, you must uninstall it prior to continuing with this installation. See page 3 for
uninstall instructions.
Minimum System Requirements
Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, SP-6, Windows Me, Windows 2000 or Windows XP is required. Microsoft Excel 97 SR-2 or
greater, and Internet Explorer 5.01 SP2 or greater are also required.
NOTE: Even if you use Netscape, IE 5.01 SP2 or greater must be installed and configured to access the Internet to utilize
Thomson ONE Banker for Office Excel Add-in.
Follow the steps below to install the Thomson ONE Banker for Office Excel Add-in.
1. Open Tools (located in the top right corner of the Banker
screen) and select the Office Tools tab. Click the Thomson
ONE Banker (T1B) for Office Download link to download
the latest version of Excel Add-in.
2. Provide the destination path and then click Save.
3. Close all the applications. Then, from your windows explorer
or a DOS prompt, navigate to the path where you saved the
“T1BForOffice.exe” and run the file.
4. Follow the Setup Wizard instructions to enter company
name, and destination path.
5. Default location of Thomson ONE Banker for Office Add is
“C:\Program Files\Thomson Financial\Thomson One
Banker for Office.”
6. If new version is installed over previously installed version,
you will be prompted several times to select Yes/No to
replace read-only files.
7. Select Don’t display this message again checkbox to
avoid answering “Yes” several times to messages to replace
all read-only files (pre-build reports).
8. Comps Wizard Add-in and Basic Excel Reports are installed
as default. Uncheck the checkboxes next to them in the
Setup Wizard dialog box if you do not want to install them.
9. Follow the Setup Wizard instructions to continue with
installation.
10. If message is prompted to enable “Microsoft’s Analysis Tool
Pack,” click “OK” to continue. The Analysis Tool Pack in
Excel, which is supplied by Microsoft, is required to utilize
the Comps Wizard Price Chart function. (See page 3.)
11. Click “Finish” to complete the Thomson ONE Banker for
Office Excel Add-in installation.

Entering Login Information
Upon completion of install, start Excel and enter the
User ID, PW and URL to utilize the power of
Thomson ONE Banker for Office Excel Add-in.
1. From Thomson ONE Banker Tool bar menu,
select “Login Info” option.
2. In Login dialog box, please enter the following
information:
a. Server Name
b. User Name
c. Password
3. If your company requires firewall or proxy
authentication to access Internet, please
check “Proxy Authentication” option. Then,
enter the proxy/firewall login info.
a. User Name
b. Password
NOTE: Proxy/firewall ID is not the same as
Thomson ONE Banker for Office Excel Add-in ID.
Your company’s technology group must provide
the Proxy/firewall ID, if needed.
Downloading and Installing Additional Excel Reports
In addition to the basic Excel reports package – ‘Thomson ONE Banker Base Reports’ (ExcelAddinReports.exe) which is
installed as part of the add-in installation, there are two additional report packages available.
Thomson ONE Banker Other Reports: Click on the ‘Thomson ONE Banker Other Reports” (ExcelAddinOthers.exe) link
from Tools’ Office Tools tab to download a library that contains four core SEC Database and one core IBES Database specific
Excel Report templates.
Thomson ONE Banker Computstat Reports: Click on the ‘Thomson ONE Banker Compustat Reports’
(ExcelAddinCompustat.exe) link from Tools’ Office Tool tab to download a library of frequently used Thomson ONE Banker for
Office Compustat Excel Templates. These templates will allow you to quickly retrieve Compustat data in common formats such
as Income Statements, Balance Sheets, etc.
1. Click on the desired Report Package hyperlink above to download the latest Thomson ONE Banker for Office Excel
Templates.
2. Choose Save this program to disk.
3. Provide the destination path and then click Save.
4. From your Windows Explorer or DOS prompt, navigate to the path where you saved the Report Packages
(ExcelAddinOthers.exe or ExcelAddinCompustat.exe) and execute the file to run the setup.
5. Follow the Setup Wizard instructions to complete the Thomson ONE Banker for Office Excel Reports installation.

Enabling Analysis ToolPak for Price Chart Function
1. Open Excel.
2. From menu bar, select the Tools\Add-ins option.
3. Select both Analysis ToolPak and Analysis ToolPak VBA add-ins and click OK.
4. Now, Comps Wizard Chart function is enabled.
Thomson Banker Excel Add-in Uninstall Instructions
Note: If you have any custom projects, templates, sets, reports, etc. saved in the “ThomsonAnalyticsClient” folder, please move
them to a temporary folder. After Thomson ONE Banker for Office Excel Add-in is installed, move back previously saved
projects, sets, etc. to “Thomson ONE Banker for Office” folder – C:\Program Files\Thomson Financial\Thomson One Banker
for Office.
Follow the steps below to uninstall Thomson ONE Banker Excel Add-in.
1. Close all Excel applications.
2. From the Window’s Start button, select Settings/Control Panel.
3. Double-click on Add or Remove Programs icon.
4. Scroll down and select Thomson ONE Banker for Office (or Thomson ONE Analytics for Office) from the list.
5. Click on Change/Remove button.
6. A message appears warning: If you have the Excel application running, please close it before continuing. Click OK.
7. An InstallShield Wizard dialog window appears. Select Remove all installed Features and click Next.
8. A message appears asking: Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all its features? Click OK.
9. A message appears asking: Do you want to remove the Thomson ONE Banker toolbar from Excel? Click Yes.
10. Another Thomson ONE Banker Add-in Setup dialog window appears with a message to proceed with the uninstall process.
Select Finish to complete the Excel Add-in uninstall process.
Note: When the uninstall process is completed, it is recommended that you also check to be sure that all Thomson ONE
Baker Excel Add-in items have been removed from Excel. If not, do the following:
a) In Excel, open Tools/Add-ins.
b) If any T1B Excel Add-in items are listed with checkmarks, clear the checkmarks and click OK.
c) In Excel, open Tools/Customize to the Toolbar tab.
d) If Thomson ONE Banker appears and is checked, highlight the item and click Delete. (Click Close to apply.)

Thomson ONE Banker Excel Add-in Reports: Follow above steps to uninstall Thomson ONE Banker Excel Add-in Reports.
If you have not saved personal files in your directory, you can also remove the T1B Excel Add-in Directory.
1. Start Windows Explorer.
2. Browse to default folder “C:\Program Files\Thomson Financial\ThomsonAnalyticsClient” or where you install the Thomson
Banker Excel Add-in.
3. Delete “ThomsonAnalyticsClient” folder.
