LAX Operations Advisory
Bulletin No: 2019- 18
TERMINAL B PASSENGER PICKUP AREA
PARKING STRUCTURE 3 (P3) FIRST LEVEL WILL BE NO-COST PASSENGER PICKUP AREA
O
PEN WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9
TH
AT 3AM
P3
WILL SERVE AS AN ALTERNATE PASSENGER PICKUP AREA IN ADDITION TO THE TBIT CURB FRONT
The Terminal Core Project significantly reduced the footprint of the arrival level of Tom
Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). The areas closed due to construction accounts for
half of the exiting passenger loading area. In order to provide an additional passenger
loading area, the ground level of P3 has been converted from revenue parking to a no-
cost passenger pickup area. It will serve as an alternate area for TBIT arriving passengers
in addition to TBIT curb front. It will open on October 9
th
at 3am then thereafter the
operating hours will be from 7am to midnight subject to change based on demand.
The P3 pickup area will accommodate a minimum of 33 private vehicles for active
loading along new “curbs” inside the structure. This is equivalent to 825 feet of curb for
pickup of arriving TBIT passengers, which is more than what was available prior to the
terminal construction. Passengers will have the option to use either the curb in front of
TBIT or first level P3 for pick up. P3 will be staffed with LAWA traffic officers, ABM staff,
and iCare members. Collectively, they will provide customer service, use-efficiency, and
enforcement. Airport Police and Airport Operations personnel will also provide
assistance. New wayfinding signs to P3 pickup area will be displayed the night of the
opening. It will help passengers and drivers orient themselves and navigate to P3.
