Would You Like to Serve Our Parish?
Two positions are opening to serve both St. John Vianney
and Holy Family Parishes:
Facility Maintenance Head: this person will maintain
the good condition of both churches and associated
properties, doing such things as light repairs, seasonal
landscaping tasks, snow plowing, and coordination of
contractors when specialized work is required. The
estimated time required for this position is 8 hours per
week (average), with some periods requiring less and
others more. This position will be paid hourly, and wage is
dependent on the applicant’s experience and skills.
Parish Secretary: the parishes are returning to a
part-time, salaried position for the parish secretary. This
person maintains the front offices of both churches,
performs secretarial work for the pastor, and acts as the
main parish contact for all visitors and those contacting the
church. The person holding this position will be
compensated based on an average of 24 hours per week,
salary based on experience and skills.
Please contact the office if you are interested in either of
these positions. The church is willing to be flexible with
applicants in order to find a good fit for both the parishes
and the employees, so if you think that this might be a way
for you to serve the Lord and make some money while
doing it, please let us know!
Prepare for Advent!
Advent Candles are
available in the Parish
Bookstore. All are
tapered and come in
boxes of four. There are
two sizes: 10’ for $5 and
12” for $6/box. While
there browse the
wonderful books and
other items that make
great gifts!
Music during Saturday Reconciliation
Has the church a little too quiet for your
comfort during Confessions? Through your
generous tithing and elbow grease from several
parishioners, music—instrumental as well as
chant—will be heard in the nave during
Saturday afternoon confessions.
Parish Updates & Tidbits
Cleaning Teams Update
The Parish Cleaning Teams program
initiated last year is going great; many
thanks to all the families and individuals
who have taken just one week in a
year to clean the church. We have a few open spots in
the coming months—particularly one in late
December—that need to be filled. See the yellow
boxes on the accompanying chart. Please sign up in the
vestibule if you are willing to help with a week. If you’d
like help putting a team together, please contact
Cheryl Roller at 406-570-4910 or via email at
cheryl.roller@gmail.com. You will be providing a much
needed service to the parish, and you will be
blessed! Here is a testimonial from one family:
Our volunteer cleaning experience at SJV was
pleasant and quite easy. We really
appreciated the beautiful opportunity to serve
our Lord as a family in his house.
