4. Decide when you want to begin your program. You can start at any semester or term start date.

5. Ensure your graduate admissions application is complete.
The application is complete when you have submitted all of your supporting documents and you have pressed
submit on the application. Once this is done, it will be sent for review. It takes 2-8 weeks for your application to be
reviewed, depending on the program.
6. Receive admittance decision through an email from the application portal.
You’ll also have to accept, deny, or defer your WPI offer in the application system.
Your Enrollment Assistant Director will contact you and assist with your first course enrollment.
3. Identify and contact individuals for letters of recommendation.
• Reach out to managers, mentors, supervisors, faculty—individuals who can speak to your ability to succeed in a WPI
graduate program.
• Be sure to inform them that the official recommendation request will come electronically from the application portal.

Good news: with WPI’s rolling admission, students can apply at any time.
Depending on the program, it can take 2-8 weeks to receive an admissions decision after your application has been
submitted and all materials have been received in the portal. (Please note that the $70 application fee is waived for
online graduate programs.)
