discounts for federal, state, and local government employees. This savings guide is a result of our
independent quarterly survey. Every three months, we update the lists to include the newest offers to

The list currently consists of over 50 stores divided into 10 categories. It can be saved in PDF format

Columbia: Local and national government employees who actively work in the outdoors can sign up
to Columbia’s Professional Purchase Program for special discounts (source).

Reebok: Government employees are qualified for discounts on shoes and apparel from Reebok.

Travel Discounts
Amtrak: Federal government employees on business travel can get discounted, refundable fares
from Amtrak when they book through an travel management company that is authorized by the
employee’s agency (source).
Delta Airlines: Government employees on work travel can get discounted tickets from Delta
Airlines. Call at 800-221-1212for reservations (source).
JetBlue: JetBlue offers special fares to federal government employees traveling on official

Southwest Airlines: Government employees who are traveling for work can get discounted fares
from Southwest Airlines. Call 1-800-435-9792 for inquiries (source).
United Airlines: United Airlines offers special fare discounts for federal government employees
traveling on official business. Only U.S. government-issued Visa and MasterCard are accepted as
payment. Not available for government contractors (source).

Car Rental Discounts
Alamo: U.S. government employees who book at Alamo Rent A Car are eligible for Frequent
Traveler benefits from select partners. Driver fees are waived for official travel and discounted rates
are available for leisure travel (source).
Dollar: Dollar Car Rental offers discounted rates, free upgrades, unlimited mileage, and more
benefits to federal employee renters traveling on both official business and leisure (source).
Enterprise: Enterprise offers special rates and mileage packages to federal government employees
traveling for work. To qualify, renter must provide a copy of the official orders and pay with a
government-issued credit card (source).
E-Z Rent A Car: Government employees can get 10% off their booking at E-Z Rent A Car when
they use the coupon code 7B566. Bring valid government ID (source).
Hertz: Hertz offers discounts a rental fee of $5 per day to government employees traveling on official
business. For leisure travels, free membership to Hertz Gold Plus Rewards is offered in addition to
rental discounts and upgrades (source).
National: Government employees traveling for work are eligible for discounts and benefits at
National Car Rental when they book using the account number GOVBIZ. For leisure travels,
discounted rates are available when using the code GOVRNR (source).
Sixt: Sixt Rent A Car is offering a rental fee of $5 per day to government employees who can
present their valid ID. No additional charges, free unlimited mileage, insurance and waivers are

Thrifty: Federal government employees are eligible for a free one-car-class upgrade from Thrifty

AT&T: Government employees who can verify their eligibility can get 15% off the AT&T Mobile
Share Plus plan, in addition to other benefits. Restrictions apply (source).
Sprint: The Sprint Work Program offers special discounts to employees of local and state
government agencies. Apply online and verify eligibility (source).
T-Mobile: Government employees who switch to T-Mobile can get $15 off single lines and up to $30
off two or more lines when they bring their current bill to their nearest T-Mobile store. Discount
matching is available for the T-Mobile Magenta and Magenta Plus plans only (source).
Verizon Wireless: Verizon Wireless offers discounts to government employees working in public
agencies who are partnered with Verizon. A valid work email address and recent pay stubs are
required to verify eligibility (source).

Apple: The Apple Store offers discounts to local, state, and federal government employees,
including their immediate family members. Discounts are available for products that are purchased

Dell: Local, state, and federal government employees cans ave an extra 5% on Dell products and
3% on non-Dell products when you sign up for the Dell Member Purchase Program. Restrictions

Samsung: Samsung offers discounts of up to 30% on select products to government employees
who sign up for their discount program. Sign up using your valid government email address (source).

Best Western Hotels & Resorts: Best Western is offering special rates to state and federal
government employees who can present their valid government ID upon check-in (source).
Blue Sea Beach Hotel: The Blue Sea Beach Hotel in San Diego offers special rates and other

Caesars Hotels: All participating hotels under Caesars Entertainment offer a special 10% discount

who are travelling on official business. Advance reservation is required and discount cannot be

Hooters Casino Hotel: The Hooters Casino Hotel in Las Vegas offers a 15% discount to
government employees when they book using the code GOVT. Present valid government ID upon

Hyatt: Hyatt offers special rates to all US government employees who can provide valid
identification upon check-in. Select “government” when booking online to receive discount (source).
IHG Hotels: All hotels belonging to the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) offer exclusive rates to
employees of the US government. Bring valid proof of government service upon check-in (source).
Marriott: Marriott offers special rates to local, state, and federal employees of the US government
who can provide valid identification at check-in. Availability depends on hotel location (source).
Omni Hotels & Resorts: Omni Hotels & Resorts is offering a 15% discount to US government
employees who can sign in using GovX and bring valid identification upon check-in. Restrictions

Red Roof Inn: Red Roof Inn offers a 10% discount to government employees in the United States.

select agencies and institutions in New York. A valid government ID must be presented at the
