Stanford Lactation Spaces

Stanford University supports breastfeeding and pumping at work. Employees should contact their supervisor/manager or Human Resources (HR)

Manager to work out a solution to meet their lactation space needs. Examples of arrangements include scheduling conference rooms, using an

unoccupied office (with permission), or hanging temporary blinds/curtains to create a private space. Any space that is private and is not located in a

bathroom can be considered for a lactation space. Department, building, facility or space coordinators may have information about possible use of

space and whom to contact for permission. Stanford University, Stanford Hospital, and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital have a total of 27 rooms,

listed below, that are for the most part, multi-purpose spaces that may be available to be used for lactation purposes.
