ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship and Internship Program offers an incredible opportunity for high
school seniors planning to pursue a computer science or engineering degree in college. The program
awards approximately 400 high school seniors, from across the country, up to $40,000 over their four-year
college tenure, and provides a summer internship experience at Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle, WA.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:
A high school senior currently enrolled in or who has completed a high school or college dual-degree course in
computer science, engineering, or robotics. Students who have not taken any of these courses can opt-in to
take an assessment offered by Amazon.
Plan to attain a computer science, engineering, or other computer science-related bachelors degree in college.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
Demonstrate financial need.

Personalized Essay Support

Dedicated support via one-on-one virtual sessions which include:
Brainstorming activity
Step-by-step guidance through selecting a topic and creating
an outline in response to requested essay prompts
Tips on what scholarship judges look for in essays
Assistance with drafting an essay (1000 character limit
including spaces)
Essay review and feedback for improvement and polishing
Additional resources including best practices to craft a
compelling essay
